Dear Reverend

In response to the call to faithful citizenship, the Archbishop and Bishops of Missouri have authorized a parish-based, nonpartisan voter registration effort to occur in parishes this September.

To execute this voter registration drive, the Missouri Catholic Conference is partnering with the Knights of Columbus, who will conduct the drive at your parish, with your approval.

A copy of each of the following documents is provided for your review and for use in your parish:

These same materials are being provided to the Knights of Columbus, who should be contacting you soon to receive approval to conduct this drive in your parish. The Knights of Columbus have been instructed not to proceed without their pastor’s permission. If you approve, please delegate the responsibilities for this effort to these trained volunteers. Select the best weekend for your parish and the Knights will assure that the fliers are available and announcements made the week before the registration drive. When the drive is finished, all Voter Registration Applications will be completed and collected at the parish for mailing to the State Board of Elections.

Thank you for your guidance in offering this program at your parish. It is a tremendous help in activating Catholic voters and encouraging their participation as informed and involved citizens.

Respectfully and Fraternally,

Brad Grill, State Deputy
Missouri State Council
