Bishop James V. Johnston, Jr. presents check to Catholic Charities

Bishop James Vann Johnston, Jr., Bishop of the Diocese of Springfield - Cape Girardeau, presents a check to Kyle Schott of Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri for the relief and aid of Joplin Tornado victims.  Kyle is flanked by Fr. J Freidl (left) and Fr. Justin Monaghan.  Fr. J is the pastor at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church of Joplin, and it is in this church the presentation is being made.  Fr. Justin is the pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church, which was totally destroyed by the May 22, 2011 tornado.  Also destroyed in the tornado were St. Mary's Parish Center, Rectory, Elementary School, and St. Vincent De Paul house.
