Basketball Free Throw

THE STATE BASKETBALL FREE THROW TOURNAMENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY, APRIL 7TH, 12:00 NOON.

The tournament will be held at Helias Catholic High School, 1305 Swifts Highway, Jefferson City, MO.  Doors will open at 11:00 AM.

 

LEVELS OF COMPETITION FOR THE FREE THROW CHAMPIONSHIP:
      COUNCIL, DISTRICT, REGIONAL, & STATE
STATE WINNERS ARE FORWARDED TO SUPREME FOR INTERNATIONAL CONSIDERATION

Five age groups:

  • Boys ages 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 (age as of January 1, 2013)
  • Girls ages 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 (age as of January 1, 2013)


Suggested Tournament Schedule:

  • Council - Month of January
  • District - February I thru 15
  • Regional- February 16 thru 28
  • State - Month of March

The 2013 StateTournament will be on March 24, noon - 4:00 PM, at Helias Catholic High School, 1305 Swifts Highway, Jefferson City, MO.  The State tournament was postponed to April 7th due to inclement weather, please see the note above.

Score sheets are not to be returned to the participants. Winner's sheets will be forwarded to the Chairman of the next level of competition. A Questions and Answers sheet is available from the District Deputy. PLEASE READ!

Any council that is allowing children 9 years of age or younger to participate in the event must know that they will not be able to participate in any higher level due to their age not having a bracket.

An  estimated number of participants should be kept by the council and forwarded to the State Chairman.

Awards:

  • Council Level- Trophies, Plaques, etc. of the Council's choice (No savings bonds or cash!)
  • District Level - Medallions
  • Regional Level - Plaques
  • State Level - Trophies
  • International Level - Trophies
