HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT BEING A CLOWN?

Clowning can be used in a variety of ways to benefit others, such as putting a smile on someone that is down, or makng a child smile with a balloon, or when you paint an image on their face or arm.  You can even use clowning to spread the Gospel.  There are balloon figures, magic routines, and face painting images that can be used to "bring God into the picture."

One of the best reasons is contained in the last verse of the Clown prayer we say at our meetings: "And in my final moment, may I hear you whisper, 'when you made my people smile, you made me smile'."  What better way to go through life than to have God smiling on you because you are bringing joy to others!

WANT TO START A "CLOWN CLUB"?  HERE'S WHAT YOU DO:

  • Recruit a minimum of five (5) members for a full club; a minimum of two (2) members are required for a "Mini- Club". Clown Club members maybe the child, grandchild, wife, or friend of a member of the Knights of Columbus.
  • Obtain a sponsor, i.e.: Chapter, District or Council.
  • Submit an application for a charter to the State Clown Club Chairmen. Include a check for $25.00 with the application for the first year's dues in the Missouri Knights of Columbus Clown Club.
  • Arrange to meet the State Clown Club Chairman, in order to hold an election of officers and hold an installation of the new officers.

Here is the current schedule for 2013-2014:

  • October 18, 2014 - Introduction to Clowning Work Shop, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Center, St. Charles, MO   Agenda

Contact one of these clubs to learn more about being a K of C Clown. Our goal is to add three new clown clubs this Fraternal Year. Can your Council help? If you or your Council need some clowns at one of your events, give 'em a call.

SO, HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT BEING A CLOWN?
