Youth Protection Program

The Supreme Council has instituted a process of formal background checks on all adult leaders (Knights and non-Knights) who are in direct contact with young people in Knights of Columbus sponsored activities / organizations.

Adults who serve in Squires, Scouting Units, or manage sports teams sponsored by Councils / Assemblies / Auxiliaries must complete a Youth Protection form (Form #4348) and submit it to the Grand Knight, who will then forward it to the State Deputy.

These background checks are in addition to any performed by Diocesan or Scouting organizations. There is no cost for these checks to the council or the individuals.

This form is available in the Council Report Forms Booklet or a link to the online version is available here.
